October Cradle-to-Career Newsletter

C2C Staff | October 1, 2022

You may have noticed a few changes if you have visited the Cradle-to-Career website lately. We recently launched a Resources page that will host a range of useful resources for stakeholders, including reports, fact sheets, and infographics. We also created a Newsroom page that will feature relevant articles, press releases, and blogs.

Cradle-to-Career’s Community Conversations

We at Cradle-to-Career regularly hold Community Conversations, interactive meetings with the public, to keep interested members up to speed on C2C’s progress. Previous conversations included updates on the early activities of C2C and a demo of CaliforniaColleges.edu, a college and career planning tool available now as part of the Cradle-to-Career System.

We held our third Community Conversation at the end of September with over 50 members of the community, diving into interactive sessions on important elements of C2C’s work – the official Cradle-to-Career name and data dashboards.

Our next Community Conversation will be November 9th, and we want to hear from you! We’re working to ensure these conversations focus on the topics people care about, so please take this one-minute survey to tell us what topics or issues interest you the most.

Cradle-to-Career Welcomes New Community Engagement and Data & Tools Advisory Boards

We are pleased to welcome our newly sworn-in Community Engagement and Data & Tools Advisory Board members, who were seated at the end of September. C2C’s Governing Board selected Advisory Board members from the end users of C2C, including practitioners, families, students, adult learners and workers, community organization staff, research organization staff, and advocacy organization staff.

The Community Engagement Advisory Board will examine whether C2C is creating strong feedback loops with data users, supporting evidence-based decision-making and analytical capacity, and ensuring equitable access to actionable information. And the Data & Tools Advisory Board will examine whether the data system is providing actionable information and identifying ways to improve access to that information.
