In partnership with the California Education Lab at the University of California, Davis and the California Student Aid Commission, the California Cradle-to-Career Data System (C2C) surveyed nearly 7,000 students about their experiences applying for college and financial aid, transfer intentions, where they found support during the process, and their expectations for next steps. This year’s report includes insights from follow-up interviews with students to gain in-depth understanding of their educational journeys.
The report’s findings reveal gaps in the completion of A-G requirements between first-generation and continuing-generation college students and understanding of the transfer process. Moreover, differences persisted in how students informed their choices after high school.
