Roadmap & Progress

The legislature authorized the creation of the California Cradle-to-Career Data System in 2019. The tools were designed via a collaborative 18-month planning process. It involved state agencies, community members, and data experts. The data system was officially created via statute in Summer 2021 as the Office of Cradle-to-Career Data, housed within the Government Operations Agency.
