2025 Advisory Board Proposal Process
Proposal Repository
Every year by May 1, the public will have an opportunity to submit proposals. Over the summer, Advisory Board members may submit one proposal – their own proposal form, a joint proposal form with up to five members, sponsor a proposal form submitted by members of the public, or further refine a proposal form submitted by members of the public or a member from previous years. All proposals that are received by the Office from Advisory Board members and the public will be housed in the proposal repository in perpetuity for the purposes of historical knowledge.
2026 Advisory Board Proposal Process
The 2026 Advisory Board proposal process is currently underway. Both Advisory Boards will convene on July 15, 2026 to discuss the 2026 public proposals and what types of member proposals would be most valuable to advance the mission and vision of the California Cradle-to-Career Data System and meet the needs of California’s diverse communities.
Below is information related to the 2026 Advisory Board proposal process.
Community Engagement Proposals
Community Engagement Advisory Board (CEAB) member proposals are due by Friday, August 14, 2026 and CEAB members may:
- Further refine a proposal submitted by member(s) of the public or a CEAB member from a previous year.
- Submit their own proposal form;
- Submit a joint proposal form with no more than five CEAB members;
- Sponsor a proposal form submitted by members of the public with no more than two CEAB members; or
Two Community Engagement public proposals were received.
- CTE Data Navigation and Student Guidance – submitted by Daveon Swan, EdD
- Participant-Mediated Research Capacity – submitted by Nathan Pellegrin
Data and Tools Proposals – Related Materials
Data and Tools Advisory Board (DTAB) member proposals are due by Friday, August 14, 2026 and DTAB members may:
- Submit their own proposal form;
- Submit a joint proposal form with no more than five DTAB members;
- Sponsor a proposal form submitted by members of the public with no more than two DTAB members; or
- Further refine a proposal submitted by member(s) of the public or a DTAB member from a previous year.

2024 Advisory Board Proposal Process
The 2024 Advisory Board proposal process is complete. As the Office began the 2024 proposal process with a different procedure and ended the process with the revised procedure approved by the Governing Board*, this cycle looks different from other iterations. Below is information related to the 2024 Advisory Board proposal process.
